Background
The first International Conference on Gas Hydrates (ICGH) took place in New Paltz, New York (US) in 1993. Every three years it brings together a diverse group of scientists and engineers with a common interest on Gas or Clathrate Hydrates. The conference has taken place in Toulouse (France) in 1996, Salt Lake City (US) in 1999, Yokohama (Japan) in 2002 and Trondheim (Norway) in 2005.
The conference has grown considerably. The table below gives the number of papers presented and the number of participants.
